Malo, the Australian Shepherd: Passions for water and caresses!

The holiday pension is not only a place of care, it is also a space for play, education and socialization! This is what he discoveredMalo, a superb Australian Shepherd with a strong character, during his 10-day stay at Cani'Oc Connection.

While his masters enjoyed their vacation, Malo was treated to his own summer camp, combining physical exertion, health management, refreshments and a little educational reframing.

A pampered “royal dog”

At home, Malo is the king of the house. Very pampered, he arrived at the pension just after a magnificent grooming. Our mission (accepted with a smile) was therefore tocomb it continuouslyto try to keep it as clean as possible, despite the intense games between dogs, the prolonged stays in the water and... the rubbing sessions in the mud!

Health taken into account on a daily basis

Malo is a dog who likes to walk a lot, but he arrived with a treatment to treat hisosteoarthritis. This is where professional expertise takes on its full meaning: we have completely adapted his stay to limit his inflammation as much as possible, in addition to administering his treatment rigorously. His state of health was constantly assessed, which allowed us to offer him activities 100% adapted to his pathology and his current form.

Managing “happiness”

Malo has a small behavioral peculiarity:he systematically tries to mount all the other dogs. Contrary to what one might think, this does not come from too much energy, but from a difficulty in “managing happiness” and social excitement.

Thanks to our experience in dog training and the help of regulator dogs within the boarding house, we have taught Malo to interact differently. Instead of getting on his peers out of overflowing joy, we redirected him to healthy games and taught him to come down on pressure on his own. This is one of the great advantages offamily pension managed by a professional educator: each interaction is supervised to help the animal progress in complete safety.

The passion for water!

In addition to the health and educational aspect, vacations are made for fun! And for Malo, the ultimate happiness is water. Fortunately, our pension is equipped for the summer.

Malo had a field day withall the water games available. Between swimming in the dog pool and wild games with the water jets to cool off in the sun, he had unforgettable moments that were very gentle on his joints.

At the end of his 10 days, Malo found his owners relaxed, happy, all beautiful, all brushed (or almost!), and above all, with better bases for socialization between congeners.
