Life sometimes throws up unexpected health events that require hospitalization, and at times like these, one of the biggest worries dog owners have is knowing who will care for their companion. This is exactly what the master experienced.United States, a magnificent and very dynamic Border Collie.
To support him in this difficult period, Cani'Oc Connection welcomed Unys. Initially scheduled for one month, we arranged to extend his stay for an additional two weeks to give his owner time to recover. Throughout this time, Unova is not "just on guard": it is truly welcomed as afull-fledged canine member of our family.
Unova: A ball of tenderness and dynamism

Like many Border Collies, Unova is an extremely intelligent dog with very specific needs. His master, although deeply loving his dog, encountered daily difficulties in channeling this vitality and meeting all his expectations. Additionally, Unova has an unfortunate tendency to makehyperfocus on the ball, a common behavior among sheepdogs.
To respond to his unconditional love of the game while preserving his physical and mental health,we specially acquired two ball launchersfor him: one manual and one automatic! This allows us to structure our play sessions in a supervised and healthy way.
But beneath its tireless appearance, Unova is above all a huge ball of tenderness, always in need of cuddles and human attention.
The evolution of its behavior in a pack
Learning to socialize

Living in a pack is a learning experience. At the beginning of his stay, Unys only liked interactions with other dogs moderately. He was particularly reserved in the face ofArlo, our 7 month old Saint Bernard puppy who already weighs 50 kg!
Thanks to progressive support and supervision inprofessional family pension, the situation has been completely reversed. Today, Unova itself is going to look for Arlo to initiate games! He learned to read canine codes and appreciate the presence of his peers very accurately.
Hyperfocus management
In a family pension, Unys takes advantage of our environment to spend its energy healthily with its peers, without exhausting itself. We have implemented exercises tofrustration management, teaching him to give up the ball and find calm even when the environment is very stimulating.
Unova's stay continues in joy and good humor, surrounded by his new friends. This long stay perfectly illustrates our philosophy: to offer a true educational and loving substitute home to relieve teachers in difficult times.
