Dog boarding at the Mas: our tailor-made care philosophy

When you have to be away, entrusting your four-legged companion is always an important step. We wonder if he will adapt, if his rhythm will be broken or if he will have a good vacation. At the house of Cani’Oc Connection, in Poussan, we have chosen to ban traditional boxes to offer a real family pension experience in the heart of Hérault.

Here, we voluntarily limit the reception to2 dogs maximum at the same time(except for dogs from the same family). This allows us to guarantee every moment of attention and a truly high-end stay.

Here's how life is at the Mas and how we adapt each day to your dog's unique profile.

An ultra-complete daily rhythm, between freedom and balance

Daily life at the Mas is not just about leaving the dogs in a garden. We follow a precise program, designed for their physical and psychological well-being:

• 3 daily outdoor outings:
  Outside the Mas, we go for walks three times a day (morning, noon and evening), unless otherwise indicated or contraindicated. Depending on the weather conditions, the shape of the animal and the time of day, each outing lasts between 20 minutes and 1 hour (approximately, we often stop once the dog is sufficiently exhausted or on the contrary if it starts to make him climb too high).
  We often look for places conducive to socialization between peers but also for new experiences (materials, noises, environments, etc.) in order to give the dog the richest possible environment. We also adapt to the contraindications of the masters if a dog cannot tolerate a particular activity, its well-being comes first.

• The little daily education session:
  At the end of the day, or as soon as a positive opportunity presents itself, we set up small work sessions. This is the ideal opportunity to consolidate the foundations of your companion's positive education: you can also find all our support on our page dedicated toEducation & Behavior.
  Always based on positive motivation, they adapt to your dog's profile: either by rewarding them with dietary treats, or by encouraging them to play.
  The goal being to consolidate the acquired knowledge as much as possible but also to remember that the expenditure is not only physical, a dog needs to mentally exhaust itself (the quantity and intensity of the work depends on the dog, its breed and its habits).
  We can do search, tracking, obedience, agility, trail running, swimming etc...

• Mandatory rest phases:
  For the dog's well-being, the alternation between expenditure and recovery is essential. We also integrate phases of solitude necessary to avoid hyper-attachment or hyper-solicitation.
  Basically, we offer 5 hours without humans during the week, which corresponds on average to what a dog experiences on a daily basis. Please note that he also stays in the company of our Saint Bernard all day.
  We can discuss this point if necessary but we make it a point that dogs have time without human presence in order to strengthen the intra-species bond and guarantee complete rest to be fully prepared for planned interactions and outings.

We do our best to apply the same rhythm that your dog has at home. Regularity and routine are extremely comforting and reassuring factors for him in a new environment.

Small and large sizes: reception conditions

From the smallest to the largest size, all little ones are welcome. We welcome both large and small people, provided that our family environment is suitable for their balance:

• Family life:
  Your dog sharing our home, he must be comfortable, at least indifferent, with the presence of children and a large puppy, like our Saint Bernard born in December 2025, Arlo.
  Possibility of meeting our cat if necessary, who, by nature, takes a little distance from everything that moves quickly

• Health:
  For the safety of the community, vaccinations must be up to date to avoid any contamination or impact on your pet

• The evaluation:
  A first meeting allows us to validate together that the conditions of the Mas correspond to the needs of your animal, that the agreement with Arlo is going well but it is also an opportunity to have a coffee and discuss your companion.

Active communication: experience your stay live

You won't need to stress or dare to call to find out if everything is going well: it's our pension that actively comes to you.
Unless otherwise indicated by you, we communicate very regularly throughout the day about all of your dog's activities, with numerous sharing of photos and videos.
